Patient History

The receptionist will have you fill out forms that will help to guide the doctor to the plan of care that is right for you. Some of these forms are available on our website under patient paperwork. You will answer some questions on the computer on your history and condition. A chiropractic assistant will go over the history, gather more information where needed, and take your vitals.

Examination

After reviewing your history with the chiropractic assistant, the doctor will come in and perform her examination. This will include orthopedic testing, range of motion, neurologic testing, and a palpatory examination of the spine. This will give the doctor a better understanding of your condition and help her to develop your care plan.

X-Rays

The findings in the examination will determine if x-rays are necessary to give a more detailed picture of your condition. We have digital x-rays on site and will send the x-rays to a radiologist for a full report of findings.

Report of Findings

After completing the exams and any necessary x-rays, the doctor will decide on the therapy that is right for you. The doctor will also go over her findings on the x-rays and the radiologist’s findings once the report has come in (typically 1-2 days).

Therapy

If the doctor deems it beneficial, you will start with some electric stimulation to help reduce inflammation, swelling, spasm, and pain and increase blood circulation to promote healing. We offer Interferential therapy and Electric Muscle Stimulation with or without Ultrasound—the type of current will vary depending on your condition.

Adjustment

The doctor is able to perform an adjustment in several different ways. Together, you will decided on what is the most comfortable and beneficial type of adjustment for you. The goal is to have you leaving here feeling better than when you came in!
